The Future is Definitely Coming
I am convinced that anybody in intellectual property needs to be keeping up on developments in nanotechnology. A lot of activity and interest has already begun among lawyers. I may assemble what I have been reading on the subject and post it but you may as well start with this article by this guy in Small Times. Developments in three-dimensional printing a.k.a. polymer mechatronics a.k.a. fused deposition modeling will result in machines that will simply build whatever you need right in your home. No mention of where the exotic matter you will need to make your new blender will come from, or where you will put all this stuff once you are through with it.
This is very cutting edge thinking, extremely visionary. Unless of course you have read
The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson anytime in the past, oh, eight and one half years. Just click the link to learn more, and to buy the book which I recommend unqualifiedly. Which brings me to my second point, which is that anyone in intellectual property needs to be keeping up with developments in science fiction.

Both the Patent Project and the Trademark Project can now be accessed from the Daily Whirl, where "You Pick The Sites, We Snag The Headlines." Also, Google Search is up on both of them as well. Now all I have to do is clear the backlog of actual helpful things for people to read on them.

My so-called friend Bruce Godfrey has had a web log for over a month! And he didn't tell me! One might get the impression he does not want to be read. Well the cat is out of the bag now my friend! I know deep down he is pleased for the plug. In all seriousness though, he needs Blogger Pro and a domain name and web hosting. And he needs to get back on the stick and write! If you are at a loss for a topic Bruce, you can write about how much you hate me now.

Trying out Google Search on this site before going live on the Patent Project and the Trademark Project. I am currently archiving monthly which means you have to scroll through a whole month of posts to find the Google hits. I think I will republish the archives weekly then go live on the project pages.

Gong BangingTraffic to the Patent Project and the Trademark Project are up, June over May and May over April. Am I finding my audience? Please let me know, especially if you are aggregating. Soon there will be enough posts for a search function to actually make sense, I will work on that next. And my split infinitives.
